Micro-hubs are a great achievement in the supply chain to realize shorter delivery times or to offer click&collect services. Due to the different layouts and conditions, in old retail stores, in the back storage of supermarkets or out of trailers, they are difficult to operate economically. Automation is the key, as in the large fullfillment centers, but the solutions must be small, simple, flexible, very dense and cost effective.
